• Haas writes about is an experiment on a college student and her use of time
• Social relationships are apart of everyone of us, our goals are set, and the motivation towards our goals is what makes up a person
• Discourses are what makes a person who they are and what they do, these texts that have been mentioned focuses on the scientific writing.

These examples I took from my essay are compound sentences because I combine two different sentences with and. This allows me to connect the two different clauses and create ideas off of them

• Gee writes about the seven building tasks that relate back to Scientific Discourses; along with the ways of understanding and relating back to the texts.
• The different parts of the format are not necessary, although the IMRAD being important to the general sense of using the scientific knowledge at hand.

These are subordinating conjunctions that I use throughout my essay, I used these to help show the reader that these parts are important and that it is used to help understand. I use along with to help the reader realize that the use of discourses relates back to the text. I use although to help the reader relate back to the IMRAD formula.
