Learning Outcome 6

Framing Statement: I believe that a big part of my own success throughout this course was the amount of effort that I put into each essay. I do think that as the course progressed, my writing skills improved because on the first essay, I earned a 3, and then improved to a 4 on the next. I am still learning how to have a strong grip on sentence flow, as well as grammatical accuracy. The main issues with my essays were the lack of a deep explanation and strong elaboration of my opinions and connecting them with the main idea of my papers. I found that my strengths include the incorporation of quotations into my paragraphs and providing my own opinions. Some weaknesses include not emerging myself into the text enough, and not expanding on my own ideas as much. While my ideas were presented, I could have included more of an explanation as to what I meant and how it connected back to the text. In addition to expanding on my own ideas, in the future, I should also include a strong explanation of the authors ideas as well. It is important to analyze all opinions considered because that will help the audience comprehend the essay and take more from it after reading.
