Relevant Narratives in Rising Cairn

Identity Shifts- I have focused on Identity shifts for my essay. I believe that these elements of different shifts is what makes a story interesting. From going from hating to loving, from bad to good, from good to bad. These are what helps bring the readers into the story, and truly brings the reader into the story.

I have chosen my narratives to write about in my essay, some I had already mentioned in class but I am going to anyways because they are the ones I have personally picked out that stand out to me.

Kenny Goddu – The Roller Coaster of my Life – Goes from not being able to read or write and hated going to school, to changing and learning to read and write and be able to enjoy school and go further with his education

Austin Scaglione – Learning to Not Hate English – Austin began his narrative explaining how he felt as though he was a strong writer, but then realized he was not as polished of a writer as he had always believed towards the end of the narrative.
